Louise is a Nutritional Advisor, Holistic Chef, Yoga Teacher, and Consciousness Coach.

She has been involved in alternative health practices for 15 years. Her self enquiry started with the discovery of yoga at the time her father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She did her original training with The Yoga Academy and then went on to do her advanced practitioner training with Yoga Arts in Byron Bay.
From there she studied nutrition and fasting. More recently she has recognised that the health of the body is not just limited to the physical body and has been exploring how mental and emotional patterns of behaviour affect health. This led her to train as a Consciousness Coach.

She is fascinated by the connection between the food we eat, lifestyle, behavioural patterns and health. She believes that self awareness is the key to a healthy content life and that it takes an individual journey to discover the foods and lifestyle that nourish each unique person.
Louise encourages awareness through self enquiry. Yoga is a great practice to start connecting into feeling the body from within.
So often we live our lives caught up in external events and living in our minds in a made up world. Yoga poses or asanas allow us to start to connect with the body, observing which areas are open and which are restricted. The breath is used to calm the nervous system and in some cases to invigorate the body out of stagnation.

She loves food and shares her knowledge of preparing healthy, tasty food from 20 years of experience. She enjoys working with people on a personal level and encourages them to find their own solutions in order to make the changes that they desire. She believes that this journey should be fun and light hearted.

Diana (Beans and Grains Workshop March 2011)

Thanks you for the workshop last Wednesday held in your beautiful kitchen. I was so impressed with the planning you'd put in: presenting a varied and exciting menu, demonstrating some gorgeous dishes, feeding us with wonderful tastes, and all the while educating us with tips, techniques and comprehensive background information. I loved every minute, and most of all I loved the wonderful food! I would recommend this workshop to anyone who is interested in eating healthily and livening up their diet. When can I come again? Diana

Sally (One to One Yoga Client Feb 2011)

When I began looking for a yoga teacher I was really hoping to find someone who would help me to combine both the physical and spiritual aspects of yoga and who would support me to interpret the messages that my body was giving me. I'm thrilled to have found Louise who is so constantly supportive, intuitive and creative. I have learned so much from Louise and I feel like I discover something new about myself and about yoga every time. I haven't breathed this deeply in ages! Thanks so much, Louise, I'm so grateful for your help.

Lisa (Yoga Class Balham 2011)

I have been going to Louise for yoga for over a year, for a weekly class, as well as cooking classes and retreats. She is wonderfully calming, soothing and a brilliant teacher. I have had a recurring hip problem for years that has literally disappeared, my stress levels are under control and I have learned a lot about healthy eating and nutrition along the way. I couldn't recommend her highly enough.

Sue (Christmas Cook Off Workshop Nov 09)

An extremely well organised and fun morning cooking in Louise's fabulous kitchen. Being introduced to new ingredients and alternative seasonings/sweetenings was great. Then finally sitting down to enjoy the resulting lunch, delicious!

Kelly (Zest4Life Client June 09)

I found the zest for life programme very motivating. It highlighted the need for me to balance all things in life, not only food, but personal time, work, family, social life and exercise in order to lose weight successfully. I felt increased energy while on the programme and more focused in all things that I did. I would recommend this programme to anyone who wants more out of life, not only those who need to loose a few kilos.

Steve (Yoga Detox Day April 09)

Thank you so much for a fantastic day on Saturday. The yoga classes were both exhilarating and relaxing and they left me feeling totally peaceful and rejuvenated at the end of the day.  But the absolute highlight of the day was your delicious food, not least the afternoon 'tasty treats'! Who would have thought that healthy food could taste so delicious?

Mary (Yoga and Healthy Eating Weekend Norfolk May 07)

"Being a foodie, I particularly enjoyed Lou's Cooking and loved the fact I could pack away hefty portions of everything without feeling I'd over-indulged because it was all 'good stuff'. Simple, honest but really delicious food and lots of choice which was great"

Emma (Yoga Class Waterloo 07)

"At last I feel I have finally found a yoga teacher who offers variety, excitement, challenges and a personal touch that leaves me buzzing after every session"
